The World Shall Spin ( inspirational poetry )
Not to matter if our tomorrows will come,
The earth to still spin in time,
As all the ages of humankind, while each,
From a warming bed to climb.
The sun is bright, to glow and shine,
As a moon reflects its light in kind.
No difference how great, the human mind,
Always roots to hold, to bind.
All the advancements of humanity,
Shall never surpass this world, so free,
Though explorations may reveal much more,
There, far greater to lie in store,
This planet so holds the greatest treasure,
Beyond all time, with no measure.
Beneath the surface, under oceans floor,
Boundless riches, by the score.
Not oil, not gold, nor diamonds, bright,
Well hidden from view, this awesome sight,
A record of the lives of all, from those creatures,
the great, and those so very small.
A map, or on a scroll of past life to so tell,
And that of how each civilization did prevail,
Implements, tools and languages, so scrawled,
Shows how life was to rise and fall.
The lessons learned from the earliest man,
Gives great impetus, to do all that we can.
Were there more majestic times to be there,
Or perhaps a culture of the earth, so rare?
Natural phenomena, the earth quakes and floods,
Displayed in layers of an earthen mud,
More vast wealth beneath seas to be shared,
And new knowledge for all lives to be spared?
The earth shall forever so spin and to revolve,
No matter just how many mysteries are solved.
A vast universe awaits us, that without and within,
Perhaps our own globe is where we should begin.
