The World in a Grain of Sand

Do not hurry. Do not worry. You're only here for a short visit. So don't forget to stop and smell the roses.- Walter Hagen

The hand which is held out to you

Small and tiny, trusting

Knows that it wants you to be close.

The eye which looks up at you

Sweet and innocent, cunning

In its desire to keep you near.

The smallest things sometimes,

Make the largest difference,

In heart and mind.

Focus on the little things,

Let go of the big things, else

You might miss out on the best.

The world is written

In a tiny grain of sand,

The sky is shown

In the smallest drop of rain

The flower is reborn

In the littlest seed.

Take the hand held out to you

Grip it hard as you may;

Give kindness where you can.

Big things count for nothing,

It is these small gestures

That mean the most.

moiragallaga, I couldn't agree more. Just a shame more people don't see it that way. Beautiful
