The paintbrush man

Updated on November 11, 2014

Open your eyes

Are you the puppeteer or the puppet on the string,
Do you have a voice or are you ruled by a king,
Let us sit down give it a moment and think,
But what do you think?
Is this democracy or hypocrisy?
This whole thing bothers me,
I can't see change it's the same old policy,
Changed the name but the same old monarchy.
They say we're free but its the same old slavery,
They don't want us to see,
That children are dying, mothers are crying, father are trying , the enemy is firing.
What has this world come to, watching innocent people die is what we do.
This world is a battlefield only the powerful pass through ,
Poor souls are dying getting no help from me and you.
But wat do we do? We shut our mouth's, blind our eyes,
It's never late to realise that we are drowning in a sea of lies ,
I testify my television is televised for telling lies , this is not a war it is systematic genocide.
I wait for the day that we all stand side by side,
Forget our differences and unite,
So let us fight the time is right, lets not run but get your pen, your sword, your words, your gun ,
Ride till the end and stand as one.
Rise as one , fall as one
Fight as one , cause this war they haven't won !

That children are dying, mothers are crying, father are trying , the enemy is firing.

What has this world come to, watching innocent people die is what we do.

      Loved these intense sharp lines.

      Overall well written poem
