The petals of a flower

Updated on October 4, 2015

If the stem of a flower didn't hold it up,

Would the leaves still spring and sing,

Or the pistil to produce the beauty of love,

Could the roots spread without the sustenance of water to drink,

Like we leave each other, alone to breathe,

Not realizing that our purpose has longed a need,

A need to belong, and a need to feed on each others love , and an existence to please,

Look to the flower, and admire its form,

It has more than one part, but connected as one,

The petals of the flower show its beauty and charm,

The light wind of hugs, and the bright beams of the sun,

Its perfect together, and not worried about harm,

The petals are the steps to peace as one,

We will bloom so beautiful, that another son will come.
