Lantern Carrier

You are enchanted, O Lantern Carrier!

What’s with this ephemeral shadow? It is only an encounter --

A boon from the Beloved -- to assist you on your sojourn,

To the invisible Abode of Silent Conversation.

Go beyond mundane attachments;

But do not cast away the Soul’s needs.

The farmer tills the soil,

And ultimately gets a bumper harvest.

So too, when the emotions become parched with desire,

The tears of rain become paramount to satisfy this grasping.

Arise, however; go beyond craving as life permits.

The Rays of Golden Light are beckoning, “Come,Come!”

O Lantern Carrier! way beyond this meticulous wayfaring;

Gleaming from yon supernal gateway, is your Eternal HOME.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. Copyrighted, 26th December, 2015.

~ Awakening The Inner Light ~

Quotations on Light.

"And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not." -John, 1:5. (KJV)

Our English Queen Elizabeth the 2nd, (God Bless Her Soul) gave a slightly different version in the Christmas speech, yesterday.

"When I say Light, I am speaking about illumination....Light embraces humanity with all its imperfections and tries to illumine human ignorance so the human life can be elevated into the divine life." -Sri Chinmoy.

      Home is truly where the heart resides, not necessarily where one hangs the hat. Beautiful, as always.

      Sense gratification is the root cause of material existence. And when one is ready to go beyond mundane attachments, he is well-prepared to go back to the Godhead.

      A beautiful poem with a sublime message!

      Manatita, I am not writing regularly here. My last hub was on 30/9 about nail polish. I only read and comment here daily. I am writing at my other 3 blogs regularly (one blog on Economics, one on Hindu lifestyles, one newly started on Food and nutritional facts). I am not bothered about earning. I am active at wordpress also. Thanks for your concern.

      Thank you, Vankatachari M.

      Are you writing, by the way? I have not seen your work coming my way. Yes, great song! Sai ram!

      Missy, so happy for you. So glad that you have yet again graced my page. I treasure your sweet simplicity and sincerity. Much Love.

      I must admit, I cannot neglect the HP Community as I have the tendency to do, due to other obligations because it is a strong part of my life now. I need to give to and get from it. That's the word from the Golden Light Summit... that Manitita has inspired here. Such beautiful poems and music that I am experiencing today and this holiday break. Oh, yes, yes yeah!

      Thank you, my Sweet Surabhi. This one was intended to go that way. Higher blessings today; this weekend plus to your parents and family.

      Hari, so sweet of you. Aha! you use the word 'illuminate', as mentioned in choice A. You're a sweet soul, and I value you for this. Hari Om Tat Sat!
