The river took a U – Turn (the poem)

Once upon a river was flowing

To wet the soul so arid,

The eyes were all mystifying

But the mind so hurried.

Some birds dive in the wave

To soak in the lazy sun,

The river swirls around crave

But birds get hard tan.

Source

The tan they like to be dipped

As that proves sun bright,

The river thrives to clap with

The ocean for soul might.

The ocean of tears is cradle

To fold the penetrating sorrow,

Let the strain of link fiddle

Just to prick the arrow.

The logic, I just thrown in the river

To go to hell so far,

The idea, is jumping like wild trawl

But frail is the jar.

The river took a u-turn and went for a drink….

Once upon a river was thirsty

A gallon of tipple will do well

For once the river wants to lose its wits…..!

For the river of tears just got restive

To get lost in mood festive

For a change…. once upon a river was smiling.

      What a very cool poem. I love the play of words throughout this poem-one word leading to the next sentence etc. It remands me a little of a poem I wrote called White Cotton. Thanks Rated Up/ A and shared.

      i wish, all the dried up rivers have courage enough for a U turn...so that, there are no more sorrows left deep!
