The Stage of Life and Death

Updated on October 8, 2016

Let me tell you little bit about the poem first. The poem is not related to any religion or race, it is for the entire humanity. I think science has fell short in explaining non-physical phenomena so that is why God exists or not cannot be proved or disapproved by science. Let me quote Nikola Tesla,"The day when science begins to study non-physical phenomena, it will make more progress in one decade than all the previous centuries of its existence". The poem talks about the waste of precious human life when we run for things that never last. The poem is based on the notion that the truth can be found out, but only by those who rise above and are willing to spend a lifetime in search of the truth.

The Stage of Life and Death

The stage is set.

The end is certainly death.

Life is just a moment.

Some came on the stage for enjoyment,

Some came to endure sorrow.

Many fools came and thought their life was not borrowed.

Very few came looking for the truth.

They soon realised that their youth

is not going to last forever

and when they die maybe few will remember.

The few looked everywhere for the light

but they could not find anything bright.

Nothing was going right.

They got into a fight

but still the truth was out of sight

Who created the world and the light?

Then they met a man who claimed to know

but he was just water pretending to be snow.

The few realised that man knew nothing.

The few looked everywhere but could not find anything.

Then they realised that the answer is not outside.

The answer was within them, inside.

A long time went by

but the few realised who they were sent by.

Their life became joyful

when they realised the truth that was wonderful.

Those who seek shall find.

They shall be free from everything that binds

a man to earth.

They shall realize their true worth.

Rest come and fall

without knowing who created all.

Thanks for reading and I hope you learned something and if you have any comments you are welcome.

This poem has a good message within. Some advice I would give would be to make the stanzas more uniform in size. For instance the first one has 10 lines, most have six, one has four. It just helps the flow. The world needs more poets, so keep writing. Welcome to HubPages.
