The systematic dilution of my language

Updated on January 27, 2013

Do not drink from these goblets unless you are not a machine.

If you do not have the heart of a true writer and you drink out of this cup, your circuits will short.

This is not a poem it is a rhyming rant. I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore

I did not know the words I read were from a machine

Words I read are wrong and very obscene

Before I wrote on the net for a buck

I always just thought what a bunch of yuck

Words that make no sense and insult our intelligence

Will cause all the populations to become more dense

So a fellow without English writing skills

Writes a Blog to cure the world of ills

He does not know what he is talking about

The blog confuses the ideas of whisper and shout

It is fair that he writes for his money

But he writes like he thinks I am a dummy

Now I know that it is not as what it appears

He uses software so the censor he always clears

Little blue and red and green lines dictate quality

But the meaning reflects absolutely no reality

There is a meter to check the level of writing

But no auto system to check what it is inciting

Programs in abundance check for copy scape

But none challenge the language that he rapes

Keywords and SEO can be cleared by automation

And hence the death of our creation

Love is a Victor

Too often we say if only. We should say I do more often.

If you write in love then love writes through you.

Keywords are awesome in a sense they are stupid in another.

I feel it in my bones that there will be a division on the net. We now have IDNs (International Domain Names) that will help to provide some cultural integrity. I have a dream that soon we will have voluntary competency certificates that will somehow accredit writers. We do not want to censor but we must recognize the art of languages.

Honest rant. It seems we will have a whole new dictionary of accepted yuck words in the future. The texter's can be included with the machines of cyber space! Gladly we have writers like you have still have class!

Your rant is warranted, Eric. Since computerized and soulless "monitors" took control over online writing, creativity doesn't seem to count for much--at least, not to the site owners and administrators. Voted Up+++

      My darling Theresa,

They put the dollar sign on it so it will not have ads. I rewrote and published and it was ok for ads. Why? I changed the word rape to the word abuse. So the machine or the illiterate auto rejects the word rape. So of course I left it the way it was. They made my point for me.

Hooray! A righteous and legitimate rant! I too, despise the machines and programs and parameters . . . they, and damnable SEO, make writing a soulless and "monetized" activity. Great poem, full of vim, vigor, and soul; shouldn't make a dime. How great is that?! :)

      Sharing. Happy Sunday! ~~Theresa

I am finding it rampant. Just writing that made me feel better and publishing even better. Really good therapy. I will rewrite it in the future.

      Thanks for reading and commenting.

Something is certainly getting you "hot under the collar" today. Have you someone particular in mind? The offense must be very severe.
