Through the arch~

Seen is bold statues~

Still~

Supernatural~

As they stand in the luminous dankness.

Through the stone arc~

Hedges green squared try to thrive~

As the hollow~

Weeps with willows~

Once lush~

Now grayed and frayed.

As I enter this forbidden garden~

Ravens caw~

Breaking eerie silence~

While a questionable spirit~

Follows close on my back~

Threatening to attack.

The sun almost near gone~

Reveals shadows~

Of possible entities almost everywhere~

In this plot~

For to you~

I am compelled to tell~

I realize now this is a wicked lot.

No stars on this impending night~

Yet a full moon gives the only light~

At best~

Quiet I freeze~

As the wind chills~

Wrapping all around me.

Panic moves me in slow motion~

To the marble arch~

I try to run~

Where safety seems to wait beyond.

One leg in front of another~

Arms trying to keep pace~

But woe my body lags behind~

As more evil spirits~

Closer come to me~

I struggle to break from them free!

Please, Please~

Forbidden Garden unbind me~

Liberate my mind~

Stop attacking and let me be!

Black metal gates~

Attached to the~

Stoned arch~

Warn me they are likely to close~

While me to make the safe opening~

Seems more panic stricken~

Than before.

Running, Running~

Breathless now~

I reach the gardens arc~

Beating the gates~

At their game.

As the warmer air meets my face~

People loving now are in this place~

Peace is the back drop outside the garden~

Now left in the dusk~

As I ponder.

My thoughts produce contentment~

Comfortable my body grows~

I sit now on a friendly wooden bench~

Watching bright spirits~

Come and go~

Safe, secure~

At once~

I am satisfied~

This is the only realm I choose to know.

      Dear Readers~

Wow everyone! Thank you so much!

To think I thought for the longest time no one was commenting on my writings? Yet here I am finally catching up on all your wonderful comments! The reason being I have not answered your comments recently and in a timely fashion is that I had no idea they were there, because maybe my notifications were set wrong? I do not really know? Yet I am hoping I fixed the problem by playing with the notification buttons. We shall see. But the main thing is that I can tell you how each one of your comments delight my heart and I truly appreciate them all. Have an awesome day everyone!

Eerie, who would want a garden like that? Other than someone like Dracula. It was a well written, but intimidating, verse. I voted up, shared and pinned it.

Hi Lisa. Slightly disturbing but entertaining nevertheless. Well done.
