Nicole Nordeman/Every Season

Seasons of life can create patterns

in the patchwork of our mind

Some we choose to stitch together

others we try to leave behind

If in haste we judge the present

with feelings tattered and torn

No tender thought upon the days event

nor to the memory it has born

Then all profit of its worth is lost

for nothing can take its place

Recollection would bring a pain to heart

because of what we've left to face

Missing God's blessing of the experience

not cherishing time before it's spent

One moment seems to never end

another we wonder where time went

Father so often we take for granted

the gentle love you pour into

Every hour of each day

of every season we live through..

Psalm 90:12 Teach us to number our days aright that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Please forgive us God

Sometimes we forget

to be thankful for the seasons...
