The Car Accident (limerick)

Updated on March 13, 2015

Remember the car accident

And all of the hours we spent

Beneath doctor’s care

In hopes to prepare

To find out what parenthood meant

Those are the kinds of car accidents that can be blessings in disguise.

Enjoyed this and enjoyed reading all the comments trying to figure this out. I have to go with serious, hospitals, doctors coming out to talk.

OK - This one made my afternoon. I dept thinking of the movie "Christine" when I saw the picture. Totally unexpected ending! Ha!

You don't tell us the end result of that car 'accident'..

was it happy - or - were lawyers involved..

Short and right to the point. I loved it. It brought back memories of when my daughters first started driving. Then I began to think that maybe it wasn't a car accident as much as a back seat accident. Either way it's great.

Clever real clever. Reminds me of Meatloaf and Love by the Dashboard Light.

And I agree with all of the above! I'm not sure...happy or sad, funny or ironic. I just know that it keeps me on my toes and looking forward to more!

Not sure this one is fully registering with me. I can not unravel the riddle!

I guess you did well keeping this idiot (me) in suspense!

lol...I don't know what I read. This one is multi-faceted for sure. Whether the accident happened in the back seat or on the highway, it still made me giggle. Maybe I'm just warped.

I agree with Rich on this one. That was the first thing I thought of too. I guess this limerick works on a few levels. Good stuff.

      Mh -

Can't go along with the rest of the comments. I see humor, with the accident being made in the back seat. Perhaps, I'm wrong, but there were many such accidents when backseats were used for more than just sitting. : ) Loved it!

well this one made me cry.. so sad. being a parent I prayed a lot when my sons started driving.. and the day my son had a wreck I thought I was going to go crazy. He totaled the car but he was fine but it could have been bad.
