The Dream Castle (poem)

Updated on October 31, 2012

Music only

In his dream castle taking in the view

A noble prince sat with so much to share

And all the world was waiting for him there

There was no lack of things for him to do

-

The townsfolk waited for someone to care

Perhaps a bridge to mend or build anew

Some dream that only he can make come true

To be the Joy for someone in despair

-

In his dream castle plans so grand were made

From his dream castle visions did parade

With his dream castle others he’d persuade

To his dream castle the prince had made the grade

-

Yet all of this was destined to defeat

The prince grew old and never left his seat

Some people put themselves on pedestals and never step down. Enjoyed your dream castle and the music.

On the pedestal and hoping to be someone, but your destiny can come true only by you and nobody else. One has to reach out to grab their goals be successful on their own

Lol. I agree with the comments here. It's okay to dream, but it's up to us to make things happen.

Funny but true. You can't make things happen if you don't act on them.

How sad, The Prince could have done so much, yet he just sat and fulfilled no dreams. Beautiful..

I'm so much happier wandering around as I do. I could never work in a chair again!

Mhatter - Very "telling" description and also autobiographical of the "man" who's picture is included.

To dream a dream is normal. To dream to live should not be. Yet, isn't that the status of the world today? Complacency rules as freedoms are taken away and big business eliminates the middle class. Oops! Don't worry, we'll do something after Honey Boo Boo is over! And, yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus!

O, how sad. He missed his chance to make a difference for all those who waited. He planned but never put it into play. Not too unfamiliar a refrain ...it seems we see that in leaders all around. I hope you are making all of your poems and collections into a book. It would be a great one....have a lovely evening, ps

Oh me, it is one thing to "dream" but to make reality one MUST leave his seat!!! Interesting. I may have a totally incorrect interpretation here Mh. Still very unique dear one.

What no video! Doesn't need one. Voted up

God bless. In His Love, Faith Reaper
