The Eyes of Joy (poem)

Updated on January 8, 2016

A world of wonder there within your eyes

Of golden coves which luster then amaze

The moonlight captured in their silken gaze

Upon such shores begins the dreamer’s skies

-

A world does wander there amid these bays

Where crystal waves of passion do arise

Enticing spicing with their next surprise

Once lost within their maze one never strays

-

Within these piercing palaces I’m held

A captive caught here drifting in delight

-

Drawn on by something deeper I’m compelled

To wander further for the source of light

-

Here all my aspirations will be quelled

In wonder of the Joy you will ignite
