The Halls of Dreams (poem)

Updated on January 23, 2016

What makes the moonlight sparkle in those pools

Which draw me in to share a sultry dip

In realms where even reason faints to sip

From passion welling flavored for some fools

They call to me in some long forgotten voice

Enthralling me and beckoning me in

Till all of me is waiting to begin

Twas for this purpose all my dreams rejoice

Though jealous clouds may fane to hide their glow

And winds will try to close these hallowed halls

Too late for I am trapped within these walls

Imprisoned in a world I yearn to know

It’s here I leave the echoes of my heart

It’s here that all my future dreams will start

Martin, this is one of the most beautiful poems you've posted. The opening photo is captivating. The words that follow are resplendent. This one really touched me.
