The Lake of Dreams (poem)

Updated on February 2, 2016

He took her walking by the lake of dreams

Where lovers’ wishes whisper to the night

And every path a promise of delight

Another kiss and all is as it seems

He showed her dreams there dancing amid light

And took heart to where her dreams were made

He promised love would always be their shade

Another kiss and then he held her tight

And all the stars they joined in a parade

Till all the heavens spoke about this love

And dreams created moments of their own

The lake of dreams this timeless serenade

This dream that fell from somewhere up above

Were shared with friends while talking on the phone

This is a beautiful pen. I think these thoughts could make the reader wish to fall in love. Thanks also for the spanish guitar treat. Love spanish guitar, especially Pepe Romero.
