The Lovers (poem)

Updated on August 30, 2014

See the lovers in a row

Victims of a timeless show

On a path so few do know

Full of Joy to mask the woe

-

See them dancing in delight

Mindless of the coming night

With one dream in constant sight

Moments they will hold so tight

-

Moments lined up in a row

Kisses cast into the night

Eyes so blind no end in sight

In this Joy no room for woe

-

Darkness dares dispel delight

In some shadows it will show

Doubts that no one needs to know

Then whose arms has them so tight

-

Will their Joy displace all woe

This not even kisses know

Will they fall or will they show

See the lovers in a row
