The Melody Of A Kiss (poem)

Updated on March 5, 2016

How can there be a melody

Which doesn’t hold your memory

An endless flow of what can be

If you will share this kiss with me

How can there be a moon so bright

Without an angel in its sight

Ignites the night in hopes to see

If you will share this kiss with me

And as we dance through this our dream

Where lovers’ hearts return to play

As fragrant flowers learn to sway

We drift away on lovers’ stream

How can there be such stars tonight

Without your eyes to share delight

Inciting flights of fantasy

If you will share this kiss with me

And as we dance to this our dream

We set our passions free to stray

While breezes whisper what to say

One wonder to ignite supreme

For as we dance we see the steam

From fires caused by our delay

What callas care could bar the way

For you and me on lovers’ stream

How can there be this thing you see

Without your smile to set me free

To share this melody

If you will share this kiss with me

Promise? Hope the kiss is as fulfilling as it sounds.
