The Monster’s Fate (poem)

Updated on March 9, 2016

A monster he returns to rob my dreams

As he did with days so long ago

Assured a youthful child won’t grow to know

The bitter soul that’s drowned out by our screams

-

A monster he that loved my mother so

He wouldn’t see the truth behind her schemes

And the added challenge of extremes

To which his punishments would come to show

-

And now he’s back to rob me of my sleep

This phantom with the power of a sprite

Explaining all his reasoning to me

-

For him I have no further tears to weep

His torments only brings a grim delight

To see how we are bound eternally

Music only
