The Question (poem)
Not just a sonnet
Be all my dreams come true for this one day
Endue your faithful heart this grand bequest
Make all my mind-swept worries drift away
Your servant hopes you’ll heed a soul’s request
Vain thoughts perhaps are these within my head
Adrift in wish that you’ll say yes to me
Let me announce my plea from knees instead
Entombed consumed till words will set me free
No other care is drifting in the air
The world awaits the song upon your lips
Intense the silent sound heard everywhere
Not ever had I known how slow time slips
Each fiber which is me in this resigns
So say that you will be my Valentines
