The Rain (poem)

Updated on April 15, 2016

The skies were blue inside the world she knew

Where flowers grew to see her through her day

And all was due because a love was true

Then came the rain that never went way

-

What could she do so new to this affair

She couldn’t see the shadows in the shrouds

While hopes renewed her heart reviewed a care

Then came the rain which brought the darkened clouds

-

And now her days the middle of some night

Pursues the views behind a reason why

A love so dear has left her in such plight

Then came the rain and blotted out the sky

-

As lovers wonder why the heavens cried

Her flowers are still growing by her side

Music only

Hi Martin (Mhatter99 on HubPages) -

I will do my best to spell the word, "excellent," for that's the word that needs to be right here.

      Regards,

      Gus
