The Reflection (poem)

Updated on July 13, 2015

Who is this person each day comes to stare

Into these shallow windows of half truth

Reflecting on some memories held there

Retracing treasured pathways to our youth

Was there something I carelessly forgot

It seems for me that all is in its place

For more than this our time did not allot

And you’ll be back your moments to retrace

A voyeur here I have within my view

Unknowingly they freely leave their world

As if to steal something that they were due

Yet missed the secret I have here unfurled

So live your life as full as it can be

And I will do the same for you and me

This is different from some of your poems and really good.

Wow, deep reflections expressed here! Much to ponder for sure.
