The Silken Path (poem)

Updated on April 27, 2016

Why talk to me of heavens waiting there

A silken path which promises no end

Where dreams of hope forever will ascend

And wonder’s always drifting in the air

I follow whispers from some hidden bend

A song so long forgotten from somewhere

That calls me to the stars if I might dare

To spend some time away from comprehend

The world for me now seems so far away

And all that was the past so quickly dies

I hear its crying yearning me to stay

But there ahead is safety from its lies

It’s here I’ll drift forever and a day

A silken pathway here within your eyes
