The Source (poem)

Updated on November 19, 2013

I thought I found the source which brought me here

A scent a note a breath inside of me

The echoes of a long forgotten tear

-

The scent of morning could not interfere

What twilight cast upon my destiny

I thought I found the source which brought me here

-

A note which sounded yet I would not hear

Some soulless reason would not let me see

The echoes of a long forgotten tear

-

Each breath of memory I held so dear

Could not drown out the shout of heartfelt plea

I thought I found the source which brought me here

-

Some instance which refused to disappear

Whose weight in time I would not help her free

The echoes of a long forgotten tear

-

Now I recall the ending was so shear

Which took my love to ever’s memory

I thought I found the source which brought me here

The echoes of a long forgotten tear

Music only
