The Timeless Letter Home (poem)

Updated on May 21, 2016

I pray this song from my heart finds you well

Our nightly rendezvous cause endless days

The scent of your refrains my passions swell

A dream, a wish, one kiss all this allays

The star we chose still sparkles every night

Two lovers dancing there for all to see

The dim lit days when hope seems out of sight

The music of your words still sets me free

My love, my Sweet, my All, please bear the pain

That, I know, is running through your soul

This time will pass and I’ll be home again

Against this foe we both must play our role

I love you; let me make this very clear

I love you; from your lips I long to hear

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith, We regret to inform you…
