The Twilight Of Our Love (poem)

Updated on November 24, 2013

The starlight sings a melody

Across the heaven’s memory

A time aside for love and me

To drift into eternity

The twilight of our love

-

Remembering the moments met

Those kisses which we won’t forget

Another moon and still we set

Beside the streams of no regret

This twilight of our love

-

We gazed into each other’s eyes

No words could match forever’s sighs

If there was doubt it quickly dies

As dreams of lovers test the skies

And twilight of our love

-

And there began the starlit song

On ever’s journey we belong

As timeless winds urged us along

For hearts like this what could be wrong

Said twilight of our love

-

So when you go out in the night

And kiss your dream with stars in sight

As warm embraces hold you tight

Then close your eyes and hear you might

The twilight of our love

Besides the thought, I liked the rhythm and meter of this poetry.

Lovely! Love in the twilight is so gentle and peaceful and runs deep, as in a dream.
