There Is Nothing Like A Good Chill To Keep You On Your Toes

Shocking And Unexpected

Every year at this time the weather turns from cool to cold

I try to wear every light jacket I have before I have to bring out the winter coats

I go from a hooded sweatshirts to a zip up jackets

I have at least ten

Too many for such a short time when the weather is breezy but not ice cold

Some were given as gifts and a few I bought over the years

Last night the temperature dropped just a little below freezing

In the day it warms up to the high 50's

We keep the heat on 65 degrees

So we can feel alive and alert

Warmer than that makes us sleepy and tired

I like to stay as active as possible especially during the winter

The sun goes down about six thirty it will continue to get dark even earlier

So we lose daylight and then it is so easy to go home and watch t.v.

We are less likely to do things outside and even a simple walk becomes an effort

Now knowing this key information gives me fuel for the fire

I have to be more creative not to fall into a lazy trap

During the summer it is easier to do things

When the sun is up your body wants to wake up and go

So with a chill in the air beware

In the morning it is easy to over sleep

I wake up and I feel like I have been drugged

My eyes are sleepy and my body feels tired

I think it is only an excuse my mind has conjured up over the years

To make me believe I need more sleep

I am up and it is just a little after eight in the morning

This year I am going to get a jump on time

Getting more things done in the winter months will be my greatest challenge

      Helpful and practical. Taking care of our bodies properly, will prolong extreme health condition as ,- for example, mine is. Thank God.

      The deep, long, dark nights is when I get the most done. As soon as 4 in the afternoon arrives I know that soon it will be pitch black outside. That's when I close up all the curtains and I get busy with all kinds of jobs so I don't have to think about being in this dark long tunnel for too long.

      annart More the merrier. Today I slept a little later but still not bad. I am constantly pushing myself to the limit and this time is no exception. To have other people as a support group so we all can accomplish more is a great idea. Even when it is dull and grey get up earlier enough and write about it. Think about it. Then take the time and write what it feels like on a perfect day. Then let that day come alive in your mind and body. Thank you for taking on the challenge and after awhile it will get easier and easier. DDE I love to sleep but too much of any anything is no good. Wishing you both a day filled with energy and a night filled with enthusiasm. Off to do some stretching and get my body moving. Thank you very much for reading and sharing.

      There Is Nothing Like A Good Chill To Keep You On Your Toes it is getting colder here at the moment and sometimes one can't handle the very warm sleep.

      Think I'll join you in that challenge! I love clear, crisp winter's days but it's so often dull and grey here. However, life is wasted if we just doze in lethargy; getting up and at it, using our energy, gives us more energy and then the snowball starts rolling and life is fun. Not only that, enthusiasm is catching and pretty soon you've got lots of others joining in! Great hub and the best philosophy for those winter days. Ann
