There Once Was A Man Named Willy

There once was a man named Willy

Whose antics would drive you silly.

He ran the whole show

And wouldn’t you know

He hopes you’ll vote for his filly!

To cap it all off

She now has a cough.

She got it from him

While taking a swim,

In waters increasingly rough.

She’ll be just fine I am sure

With motives increasingly pure.

So that strutting her stuff

It will be just enough

To show that she’s the real doer.

The moral is this:

What starts with a kiss,

The longer it lingers and stays,

(No matter her wiles or her ways)

She could stay just “Willy’s Miss”.

What started with a kiss....

Oh, what a difference two months can make! Hillary was inevitable. Donald was saying "I worked hard. Now it's up to you." And, it was.

For some the election is still going on. Hillary conceded, well almost. Donald is busy doing what president-elects do, and most Americans are hoping to finally give a sigh of relief with the thought "It's finally over."

Willy's Miss can concentrate on being a grandmother. Bill can resign himself to doing what former presidents do. Chelsea can run for office so the Clinton poker stays in the fire for the "another day."

Gypsy Rose Lee - I thought you might like this one. For those who might think I am biased (they're right now) I did one on Mr. Trump too.

MsDora - Sometimes this year I have wondered if even the candidates are taking this election seriously. Perhaps they should try more levity?

We need to laugh in the midst of this serious political uncertainty. Thank you.

We all need a little limerick levity from time to time, and a lot of faith in God and the Atonement ALL the time. God bless America.

I am not so sure "the good Lord" would not just as soon "overlook" them.
