There Should Be No Racism, We Are Children Of God

Updated on July 21, 2013
Source

There should be no racism.

We are children of God.

For when we are dead,

our blood is still red.

Our brains are gray.

And our bones are white.

But, if we fight out of dread,

Our blood is still red.

We all have emotions.

Sometimes happy

Sometimes sad.

But, if a man shoots a man,

our blood is still red.

Source

Many have children.

They have loved.

They have held.

But, if we kill out of hatred,

our blood is still red

Our world is at war.

Some we don't understand.

Many have died.

Our blood is still red.

There should be no racism.

We are children of God.

For when we are dead,

our blood is still red.

Hi Michele. After two years we are more informed of our world's turnaround time. We see revisiting protests after one year of instigated violence from high places who take advantage in creating just the opposite your poem is positive of. ''We are children of God" is becoming more a slogan then a lifestyle. where does this lead? Some devoted scholars of the ancient prophecies ( rightly interpreted ) are pointing to the fulfillment of the end to present social system. Are we ready? My quess is the children of God are.

      Peace with you.

I have to show my appreciation to the wreitr for rescuing me from this type of circumstance. Right after scouting throughout the the net and obtaining basics that were not productive, I was thinking my life was done. Existing minus the approaches to the difficulties you have fixed by means of your main guide is a serious case, as well as the kind which could have badly damaged my entire career if I hadn't noticed your web blog. That training and kindness in controlling every part was very helpful. I am not sure what I would have done if I had not come upon such a thing like this. It's possible to at this moment look forward to my future. Thanks for your time very much for this high quality and sensible guide. I will not be reluctant to refer the website to anybody who requires recommendations on this situation.

Sarah, I wish we could stop being racist, but I just don't understand how. There is even a person one one of my hubs about racism, that keeps arguing with me. He keeps telling me racism no longer exists. No longer exists at all.

Beautiful poem. It hits very close to home for me, because I am of mixed racial background, I have received racism from people of many colors, simply because they judge me by how I appear (assuming I'm one race or another) or thinking I should act a certain way because of whatever race they think I am. I am me. A person. My skin just happens to be brown, I have never understood why some people treat you differently just because of that simple fact. I take people as they are, it doesn't matter to me what race they are. We waste too much time in this world fighting about race, and just when I think we are making progress I see something on the news or read something on the internet that tells me we still live in a very racist world. Can't we all just agree that we're all human beings?

      Voted up.

Racism is evil and ugly and people are insulted and abused on a daily basis. But, what has really amazed me, is on one of my hubs about racism a person has been trying to prove that racism no longer exists.

      That just boggles my mind.

Wonderful words to hear! Racism is such an ugly thing, and too many people are insulted and abused daily on social media and especially YouTube for loving someone of a different race. We are all the same, and I applaud you for this beautiful poem.

      Hi Michele.

Aspirational. So much said in one poem! A message is out, " there should be no racism." All men -kind is created out of will the God to have a family. Until the moment of man's decision to distrust his Creator - the one- ness was intact. Divided humanity chooses to serve either the Creator or god of this world the Devil . We follow source of information trustworthy to believe and proven to be so, a desire exist to be/to feel like children of God. Even some religion's teach that we are, but the daily experiences suggest differently . An invitation is open for every person to come back into the fellowship of God's family, by receiving the Word manifested in flesh, called by the Name Jesus. Those who made that bold decision and let the Holy Spirit to transform their life, they don't kill each other, they do not lie, cheat, steel , refuse to work , etc. they simply are the Children of the Most High God and they're know- recognizable no matter how many they are. .. Jesus told them " you're the salt of the earth..." Without their presence the life would cease to function on this planet called earth.

      Voted up and interesting .

Be of good cheer and prosperous .

Indeed we bleed the same. As did He for us. We are troubled. We do not so much need to stop seeing red, as seeing through it.

      Wonderful work here as always.

Yes, we are all God's children, but I'm glad He has made us different from each other, it makes the world such an interesting place. Imagine if we were all the same, how boring that would be! However, as brothers and sisters we need to remember to love and respect each other. Thank you for the reminder.

Very well said FS! I think it's not only a tool some people use to keep other people beneath them, it's also a way for people with low self-esteem to make themselves feel better by putting other people down.

We are all God's Children we are equal in His site, Jesus died and opened salvation for all. Racism is a tool of the elite to keep people down and dependent. It could be any difference, Asian, Born again Christians, Black, Poor, Rich, Italian, caucasian, mixed, in some form of disable, blind, old people ...there are many people who can be taught that they are not equal and will not be treated equal. Some of the people believe this and act in such a way that is not good for themselves or others..other among us in the same situation do not listen and simply move forward, seeking God for direction and acting accordingly...God loves us seek Him first in everything we do and division is eliminated.

      Lovely!

Sometimes I wonder why there are condescending people , calling a certain race idiot or moron...and such disgust leads to developing hatred, and hatred then begets hatred....and it seemed harder to stop....so sad.
