Let's be like the Kids but not Childish
I apologize if you find this article childish or very informal but I just hope you could find its sense in the end.
I just could not help myself but be tickled while reading the write-ups of my students about their feelings, thoughts and whatever ideas that would come out in their minds regarding our class. Some wrote about how difficult the subject was. Others wrote how relieved they were after an exam and saw their scores were higher than what they expected. There were also who wrote how sorry they were for their misbehavior in the class. They also wrote how thankful they were that despite their naughtiness, I still taught them (well, there was this time that I did not hold classes for week because I wanted them to realize to listen to my discussion which could help them understand the lessons).
These messages really made my heart enlarged. I really appreciated their honesty and I could feel their sincerity. Amazing and amusing!
Well kidding aside, I just realized how innocent and pure they were. It made me thought that how nice to become like them where everything was so pure and innocent. Despite all my scoldings and sermons to them, I did not feel their hatred or anger at me. This was what expected that I could read from their writings but it was not. Instead, it was filled with gratitude and appreciation to all my efforts in handling them and how they understood why I had to scold them. This was somehow we, adults, had to learn from the young ones, never plant grudges in our hearts, stay pure and innocent at hearts.
