I'm Running out of time

Updated on December 30, 2012

Watches & Clocks

Times ticker that clock is slicker

nothing left no time to suggest

must move must go quick

My life has been upset by

timers and stop watches making my mind sick

A stomach that rumbles

due to to many time in's not enough time out's

Timelessness no doubt

leading to more timeless routes

Wishing space would replace time

Time always seems to fly

My watch can no longer tell time

Time is almost up folks

Lets call a time out

Hurry up your running out of time

Its all about timing people

There is no time LEFT

I wish Time didn't exist

The winding is agonizing

all them silly Ticks

The ticking noises

I cannot take that Alarm sound Yikes!

Gears get stuck

More noise this time

Why do I have to get up this early

Someone needs to kill time

      @Movie Master Hah!, I have no clue where it goes but I do know I love life and hope time slows down a bit LOL, even though I don't believe in time.

      @Vellur, I love to think as if time isn't a factor in my life, and then I see my computers clock, and remember that man has made it, Hah!

      @flashmakeit, Thanks for your cool comment, yes indeed we all need much more time in a day, but imagine if time didn't exist at all, then we wouldn't have to worry about it, right!

      Great poem, time waits for not one. We have to live by time, moments and seconds just fly by, caring not a jot.

      If there was more time in a day you would do more things.

      Wonderful message in this hub. Time will keep passing so we do need to slow down or we will lose it. One day we will wake up and it will all be over.

      Voted up!

      There is something so mean about time, the way it just ticks and waits for no one. This is an awesome poem voted up.

      Absolutely! Someone should invent the "time stopper." Great message to slow down and enjoy the moment.

      As Gollum asked Bilbo Baggins his final riddle:

      This thing all things devours:

      Birds, beasts, trees, flowers;

      Gnaws iron, bites steel;

      Grinds hard stones to meal;

      Slays king, ruins town,

      And beats high mountain down.

      Time can create and destroy. Seems similar to mankind, huh? After years of time management, I've enjoyed tossing it behind. Great Job, Mike!

      Very nice! I enjoyed it--although it makes me a little stressed! Ha! Proof of how well you captured the tone!

      It reminds me of a short story by Julio Cortazar where he writes that when someone gives you a watch as a gift--we are not really receiving the gift! Rather, we become the gift to the watch as we are literally TIED to it! The story works as an allegory for how precious life is and that time will run out! So remember to live! and seize the day! Leave the watch on the bedside table while you're out living!

      "Does anybody really know what time it is?" Loved that song by Chicago back in the day, and love this hub by the maestro of Hubville, my buddy Mike.

      Gotta hurry...gotta step up the pace....time is wasting....gotta chase my tail and get it all done....where does the time go....I'm so late.

      STOP! Take a breather and enjoy life for five minutes! You just might find you like it.

      Loved this hub buddy; you really are a very good poet and I love it when you re-enter this genre.

      Have a great weekend buddy!
