They Sailed the Sea (poem)

Updated on June 25, 2016

They sailed the sea until the sunset came

And oh what memories were in those waves

So unaware of what the future paves

But with each tide they’d never be the same

-

They sailed the sea and followed every breeze

Another chance another whim to tame

And with each storm came moments they could frame

For never were there lovers such as these

-

Until the sunset came to mark their day

Perhaps just one more torrent they might tease

To chance just one adventure more oh please

Before their time together slips away

-

Until the sunset came they sailed the sea

That promise of true love eternity

This is beautiful, Martin. Being on the wide open sea is so freeing and peaceful.
