Things People Never Ever Talk About

Updated on May 3, 2013

They Think By Not Talking About It It Will Go Away

It doesn't work and it just isn't true

I woke up the other day with a surprise

It was just under my left eye

Yes my face was sore and I didn't know what to do

As I got up slowly after tossing and turning in my bed what seemed forever

I looked in the mirror

To my shock I see nothing

What I feel is something

On the left side of my nose towards my tip

It hurts something fierce

I told my wife and she looked

It looked red but nothing she could see

I knew what it had to be

A blind pimple that wont show its ugly head

That brings me back to when I was a kid

Boy did I hate those teenage years when acne popped out of no where

We all faced are own personal dilemas and tried are only little remedies

I learned to wash with noxema and keep any unwanted dirt away

My girlfriend at the time used SeaBreeze

It worked for her and she was so pleased

I felt bad for people who had real bad acne and no matter what they did

It never went away

I remember hearing the ads about Clearisil

Not sure of the spelling and sure am glad I never had a life long issue

Now in my late 40's and acne has returned

That burns me up

Still one day later and my face still hurts

I tried a hot compress to bring the nasty bugger out

It felt good but it might just be another wives tale

For once in my life I feel like a fighter who got nailed in the face

Now my nose is red and I turned into Rudolph

Well if your going to be aggrivated why not be famous too

So on with my day and see where this day will lead

Maybe people will follow me

Rudolph with my nose so bright

Wont you guide my sled tonight (lol)

I have read that line many times but I never ever thought it would apply

How wrong was I

The things which people never talk about are often the worst experiences and keeping these conversations quiet somehow makes them feel good

This was delightful and amusing however of course I sympathize with you having that nasty pimple. My hubby just went through a pimple episode. He says to me that he feels like a needle is sticking in his back just below the shoulder blades on one side. Well he says there are no vital organs there so it's not that. What in the world? So I take a look and sure enough one of those awful pimples with the white tip. Now all taken care of and squeezed out and voila no more pain. Hope your having a wonderful weekend.
