Things (poem)
I tried to show the things you might not know
Which seemed to crawl around inside my head
Such things which any normal one would dread
Because their glow might also carry woe
-
So many dread these kind of things might spread
Distracting our attention from their show
Originality would harm the flow
Or worse might shed thing’s light on what is said
-
You’re crazy if you see these things this way
You cannot let these things of yours confound
You’re place among our happy family
-
And so I say put your things on display
You run aground a least I’ll be around
Waiting to see the things you’ll show to me
