This World....So Broken

Updated on August 11, 2017

So broken

So Confused

So angry

So abused

So helpless

So used

Can we break this vicious cycle?

This world

This world is in pain

This world we’ve destroyed in vain

So thoughtless

So naïve

So uncaring

So deceived

So violent

So unachieved

Can we break this vicious cycle?

This world,

This world is in pain

This world we’ve destroyed in vain

Moving forward in peace, seems harder to do

Moving two steps behind, seems easier for me and you

Yet we are hurting the lives of those for the next generations

Is all they will know is how to buy bombs and ammunition?

WOW! I'm speechless...This world is a mess and all the cause is us. We as one is to be blame for this mess...it's now a time we should come as one and repair...but the question is when?

Thank you for this powerful poem. One day the world will be remade afresh. The New Jerusalem will come down from Heaven. Can I get an amen?!

      Hi Fullerman,

Thank you for the shout-out. We need to stop breaking our planet now! If everyone does their part then we can, together, make a difference. Let's all recycle and rebuild. We can do it!

      Cloverleaf.

Every road have it's own bumps and bruises, but God for some have already cleared the way. Not to move the bumps...but have already prepared the VICTORY over each one.

No, we can't break the vicious cycle. It is very sad.

Maybe Society.....not the world. This world has the strength and influence to maintain as well as repair itself over and over again! The world will go on for generations to come....It's up to the generations that reside therein to do the "right thing"

      Nice concise poem.

The image you have correlates with this short piece. You've scored a couple of "cool points" with me because I am also a poet from Louisiana. :)
