Love without Passion

The sweat drips off our bodys,

our lovemaking is done

Now is the hardest part

turning to face who we've become

I look into your eyes, which

previously were closed

we both wanted to do this

This is what we chose.

I want to say, I love you !

But these words, they just don't fit

our passion overtook us

Here we are, this is it

If I wait to long, the moment is lost

The passion, the emotion, Why is love such a cost?

Love without passion, should be a sin

When this happens nobody can win

Wow. This poem really told a story and it is one that I think many of us can relate to. Passion without love feels empty. I enjoyed this and felt like I got a whole story in a few lines. Voting up!

      cleaner3,

There is 'much' truth in your poem. Like it a lot!

      Ciao...Princess Prisca

There is a difference between 'love-making' and 'loving'.

True love comes from a higher source, where two become two halves of the same spirit.

A beautiful poem, many people will find their own reflection in your verses.

Your poem is a challenging endevour, but I haven't forgot about it, how Could any man forget about a beautiful woman such as you. your logical responses make me laugh, and like a govt official I want to probe you.

I will finish and PRESENT it within a short period. I better get a response from you that isn't so deliberate and unfeeling! O.K?

      I still Love you though.

Explorer, thank you for bringing a sensible explanation to something that just happens sometimes. I was trying to express the aftermath.

      thank you for reading.

Loved this. So true. Making love is so much better with someone you really love and care about. someone you really want to be with rather than just some fling or one night stand. It sucks when that person doesnt feel the same way and ends it before it even begins :(

"Love without passion should be a sin". Ahh I've never been so compelled to read somebody's poetry. It touches base with me. Your soul and mine must be friends, and we don't know it! haha.

I think we know it, too. It's amazing to me, how we are in harmony. You're very welcome, but thank YOU for sharing them. They are drops from God...they are pieces of glory that people need to see.
