This is the life we used to live - Cyber Times Poetry

Updated on September 20, 2013

Unlocking the doorway to an ocean

Swimming through waves of sadness

and depression to survive

Hoping one day for happiness to become your best friend

Living for mere memories as shadows attempt to steal your light

Illumine-scent glow desires your face

to be lit up with a smile of ever-glow

colorful triumphant ego shot down by humility

Thoughts of happiness takes over the globe for which it once stood

Funny times are here again

Happy go lucky days smother your life force

making money out of performing the ordinary things

that make you want to be alive again

Its all just a cyber slot game

Creatively done. There's nothing like the cyber world. Now if we could just reach in and touch the other side.

I like this poem very much as it has a message that is told.

Thanks Bill for the cool comment and review. I'm just getting back into the swing of writing again and been storing up the whole summer, so I hope to bring more cool poems soon.

I love poems that say a great deal with brevity. I don't think I have the patience to work my way through multiple metaphors in a long poem, so I greatly appreciate a poem like this one with a great message that demands thought. Well done brother! I hope you have a great weekend.
