This poem is about you - Our Voices Day 7

Updated on December 12, 2013
Source

You really did think you were slick

wearing that clown suit there

Hiding behind them silver screens with massive dark shades on

blocking out the light of day with that hamburger helper smile

What's that you say, this crazy ass poem isn't about you

You're mad because I wrote it and its not about me

Well sorry to let you know it is

Yup you, the one who wears huge elephant shoes to go to work

because you cannot manage to find work anywhere else but online

Yup the one who sits in one place for hours on end

typing away stroke after stroke on that silly keyboard

The writer book worm lady who swears she can become

Mya Angelo overnight

Especially if she writes 1000 poems of whatever that stuff means

The dude who fell asleep on his slimy ass keyboard

with a puddle of drool on it

Yup you, you and also you

the silly hair dresser type lady thinking she's going to Hollywood

Merely because she has practiced putting on her make-up a million times

in the mirror

Works at a ladies hair salon and loves eating vanilla ice cream scoops

whenever Mr. Softy comes into town at winter time

Source

You know the crazy nerd professors pet who was the dunce in grade school

because he never ever stopped talking to his non-friends

about calculus in biology class

The overweight beer-a-holic actor who pretends to be Zorro

While acting out Hamlet as he walks across the sobriety test line facing a DWI

As the traffic cop cracks a sinister smile

This poem isn't about me at all its about him

The Mr and Mrs perfect who sworn they would always defy all the odds

But could never fess up a single moment failing to make the cut on Broadway

The out of control driver who cuts everyone off just to beat the red light

The silly kid who makes prank calls making fun of their own mother

For the dead beat dads that haven't amounted to anything

This poem is for you all on this planetary system who desire a good laugh!

"Your victory shall never be won acting like That!"

LOL

The Our Voices - Poetry series

Any poet can join in on this awesome series and from any writers network they choose. This new age series is designed to help spread the love for us poets, to alert the search engines that we aren't playing games. We are serious about collaborating and having fun online together as creative writers and poets.

Even prose writers can begin writing articles about cool fun! stuff and title their articles with the "Our Voices" keyword. (One cool way to unify efforts for the likes of us all & mainly to bring back joy into our lives again as a global community.)

This is a new age movement in progress, to help humanity beginning in a poetic form, and extending outwards across several networks as a beacon of hope. Due to us living at a time where we all need our voice to be heard.

As a combined effort we shall reach the world with a powerful message, that unity is the only way to conquer all evils on this planet, and it all starts with positive messages being rendered in whatever way we choose to deliver it. Also as a united team of awesomely funny writers who truly care. (Not all of us need to be funny, but laughter helps us humans to find happiness in this life as well.) Hint, Hint :)

Have a wonderful time enjoying this new adventure as we pave our way through the billions of online mixed messages and content together, and united as writers of hope.

"Everyone has a voice, let that voice stand out as a true message today, that can help humanity in some way, shape, or form. Bring true Change for the better."

The movement starts with you - Writers Unite!

I found this cool video to hammer in such a message - Unity is near, it is now, it is us and joining each voice together as one!

      CloudExplorer,

Poetry never really makes "sense" to me anyway, that's kind of what I like about it, it means what it means to each person. I just thought it was quite funny, I like the tone and it was quite creative!

Mike, thank you. I look forward to that day, like with Sannel a hope, to meet up in person with you. Someday . . .until then you can always find me at U of EDS.

@tsmog, my dear friend your comment is awesome, and over loaded with tons of enjoyable terminology. LOL

I adore that comment you just left me, because it goes to show that us writers know how to play with words in the most friendliest of ways. You have blown my thought process completely apart in a billion tiny little pieces of joy. WOW!

Thanks for caring to spread the love here and in such a brilliant, extravagant sense of caring. I do not know what else to type here other than the fact that I love this game online of writing. It's such a pleasure to have something as silly as this limerick style poem, gain such a response and from such a super cool, super hubbing budd as yourself.

This is the true definition of being a super hubber to me, and someone who can uplift the spirits of another person from out of nowhere. You are to cool tsmog. Simply amazing bro :)

This is awesome and shared. Very well written with inference and more. I ponder inspiration then enterprise with capitalization. Well done. Ponder reflections and mirrors, that one you shared, I ask, did she straighten her hair and just for whom?

I share, all have been marked easily as with one. I love copy/paste and word. Time is always offered with when being usually more than. Consider when one, as you know more than most. Victory is an oddity and at times without oddity.

I love your enterprise with days, measurable, eh? Yes, I see inspiration with the 7th while spontaneity offers binary with cavalry and fleet. I choose of your work - fleet. Seems appropriate with cause being where I live and those I know intimately of that choice. A market?

Now, I am off to share with those, being of choice the 7th - fleet, down the road a piece, as this entrepreneur base is, his home. Later this week a trip may be, if a neighbor asks, a place in La Jolla, where more stories are shared, historical and truth too. Simply a ward where aid is discovered for and of great variety of those who served. Ponder mentor.

Seems a few phone numbers each time is offered, and without oddity those wives of those few which served, listen, and well I know of two, whom are hubbers today. Ponder. Those two will be the first, as I know each are learners, now with smiles I am told, writing poetry.

I bow as Sir Sremmus, before Sir Michael, the Explorer of Clouds offering a smile knowing you did one at at time . . .

@Gypsy Rose Lee, LOL that dudes name is Homey the Clown, he's one of the Dayman Wayan brothers and was part of a comedy show known as "In Living Color".

Very funny show actually, maybe I'll try to write a hub about it one day, we shall see. Thanks for the cool comment and for sharing, I'm so glad you was entertained. I'm trying to open up my mind to bring out my humor because we all need a good laugh today, and I no-loner want to be so serious as a writer.

Thanks for sharing with me Debbie and commenting it felt good to get it out, and no way is that Blondey, it represents all those who are magnetically pulled by this online world Hah!
