This Dream (poem)

Updated on June 29, 2016

What is this dream this path to paradise

Where flowers meet the promise of the dawn

A carefree kiss to build a world upon

Without a worry of the pain or price

A serenade to which my heart is drawn

Another day a new exotic spice

One so aware this couldn’t happen twice

What is this dream which urges me go on

Before this dream I thought I knew delight

Was fooled and fueled by highways of dismay

Amid confusion lost my point of view

To my despair a flicker then a light

And teardrops from the stars to mark the day

What is this dream which starts and ends with you

Tried to comment on yesterday's poem, but there was no comment capsule. This is another good one.

Beautiful, Martin. I love the promise the dawn.
