Love Poetry

"Everyone loves a lover", or so they say. Love fills our lives and fills our minds and fills our hearts. Romantic love is one of the most powerful forces that can possess us. Romance often inspires our creative energy. I discovered these 3 love poems that I wrote sometime ago and thought I'd share them.

They are about romantic love.

I share these three love poems, with love.

I Love You
I Love You

love, Love

This poem reflects our romantic hearts and how our hearts fill with love as we wait for the one we love.

love, Love

Let it not be with the love eyes of the world alone that you look on me with love, Love.

Let it not be with the eyes of romance alone with which you look on me, with love, Love.

Let it not be a love that fades, Love.

But, feelings come and go and the love eyes of the world fade,

but let the fullness of love flow, Love.

If I stir that feeling in that region of your heart, then let it be love, Love.

Let it not be a love that fades, Love.

But, let it grow, Love. Water the love with love, Love.

Hearts

Hearts Hearts
Hearts Hearts

Hearts.

This poem speaks to the heart of romantic poetry, the heart.

Hearts.

Hearts; our hearts beating.

Hearts caring, hearts sharing.

Our hearts, full, our hearts together.

Hearts.

Hearts; our hearts one.

Hearts alive, hearts living.

Our hearts: my heart, your heart.

Hearts.

Hearts; our hearts in love.

Hearts loving, hearts loving.

Our hearts full of love, our hearts, Love.

Hearts.

When I think of You

This poem is about the euphoria of love, of the emotions focused on the other.

When I think of You

When I think of you,

my heart does sing, the bells do ring.

In fact, my love,

you are my song, my dance, my life's romance.

You are my melody, my rhyme,

you are the beat by which my heart keeps time,

I love you,

I want you,

I need you,

I am full of you my darling,

my dear, my delight, my desire.

You inspire me, you set a fire inside me,

my honey, my love.

Romantic Love

We love love. We love all types of love. These poems are about romantic love. Romantic love depends on feelings, on chemistry, on attraction. Romantic love is reflected in our poetry, our films, our music.

So many of the greatest poets have written poems about romance. William Shakespeare, Percy Bysshe Shelley, Elizabeth and Robert Browning are among my favorite romantic poetry writers. Romance often fades, romantic attraction often lessens in one lover or the other.

The ideal of romantic love, the hope of romantic love, the pleasure of romantic love, and the loss of romantic love are common themes. Even though it often doesn't last, we take great pleasure in the idea and experience of romantic love. We need to foster a greater love, independent of romance, a love that requires commitment when the romance fades. Our romantic hearts best faster as we contemplate love.

These 3 love poems are for those who love romance.

Cheryl, thanks for reading and adding your thought full comments. Certainly love can be "found". For those ones blessed to find love, it certainly needs to be sustained. Many times when we "find" love it turns out not to be. Building love through friendhsip is often the most successful "love". So, I agree with you Cheryl! Thanks again for adding your ideas! :o)

Very nice. Well put commentary about romantic love. I had a similsr discussion with someone recently. When "finding love" was mentioned I told him I think long lasting live can't be found but rather must be built. Love your poems.

Suggesting 15th century Indian spiritual movements to express sharing and loving in response to reading my poetry is appreciated. The creation of the new word ellipsi'sing with negative- space is interesting and apropos in describing physical love. I'm familiar with the concept of alchemy and it is intriguing to apply the idea to love! Is AlchemiA is something you have written? Thanks for reading and commenting.

      "...in the Hathayoga of integration,

which’d move as whirl'd’s deep inside of us,

tantRa was always about dancing with our body-of-cycles,

      on a sweat-slippery field of red-ocher bliss

      kissing with the same kiss

with gravitas we didn't need to understand

and which’d leave waves of negative-space

      ellipsi'sing between us~" -- AlchemiA

Your love poems show your passion for love. I like the layout and extra text that makes the hub longer and more significant. You have made it SEO friendly too. I am impressed
