A Dream Thru A Door Of Perception

Updated on November 24, 2011

A Most Amazing Dream

I have the legs of a mule deer

as I run up the dry shrub mountain

so effortlessly

I am a small bolt of lightening

and I fly into the pupil of a coyote's eye

coming out splashing into a pure azure

blue pool of mountain spring water

I now find myself seated round a big table

with many people dressed in ethnic clothes

everyone is speaking a different language

I seem somehow to understand everyone perfectly well

as all the languages seem to meld into one

a grand time with no arguments to be heard

I look up from this great table of babble

to confront my greatest fear

as a killer tornado

heads our way a certain death for me

A voice inside tells me

to have no fear, be still

and take the position of meditation

for the storm and all it's terror

will pass harmlessly thru you

and so I do with nowhere to hide

as the tornado bears down on me

everything caught up in it's irresistable winds of fury

is a projectile of death

but I remain calmly still

as it's swirling fury passes without resistance thru me

I am alive.
