Time To Hit The Hay

Updated on March 31, 2014

A Long Day

We left the house at eight o'clock in the morning and didn't come back till three A.M.

My wife had a wedding shower to go to

I went candlepin bowling for five strings

Left there and walked around a store for awhile

Sat in the car and read waiting for a phone call

Come pick me up

Then she dropped off at work while she went off to work herself

Now what did I learn from today

It rained all day and all night

So we both didn't miss anything outside

We both left together and came home together

It might not seem like much but to a loving couple it means a lot

We are able to bend and be flexible to make things work

One of us might compromise to help our partner in life out

It takes a little more thinking and planning

How can we do this ?

Discussing all our options practical or otherwise

Hoping that we can come to an agreement that works

Most people might just chalk this day up as one of many

As if has little significance on tomorrow

I think different

If it wasn't for my wife I couldn't do all the things I love to do

So this is one time I get to bend over backwards for you

In appreciation and in love

I am so happy to be married

Have a loving wife to communicate on the same level

We both went to work and gave it our best

Now tired as our body feels the impact

All I can think of is my soft pillow

That my head sinks into like my feet stepping in to mud

I sink deeper and deeper until I can't go any further

I just dosed off with my hands still on the keys

Luckily any damage that was done waseasy to correct

In the past I haven't been so lucky

So good night to everyone who has their husband or wife

Sharing their day and night

Never saying it was going to be easy

But so worth it in the end

That you wouldn't want to live any other way

The tough days makes frustrating moments but if couples work together they can spend the precious time as needed.

Jodah Every couple has to work out their own schedules trying to juggle their time together. Some problems we can encounter because of work, school, family and other obligations that come up in our daily lives. Thank you for reading and sharing.

My wife and I spend most of the day and night together. She goes away for six weeks usually twice a year and we are totally apart for that time. It is always good to get back together. Everyone needs some time to themselves so we get that, but not in the usual way. Your hub is a good one and I can relate to what you say Dream On.
