Time and fading of memory.....poem

Updated on January 23, 2014

In the memory was the soft sound
of nylon on thighs
And no surprise the taste of a drink
and its moody highs

Fading through candle dreams the dazzling
your necklace and rings
And a memory of sounds that
a cooing voice sings

You came with me and then some
our passions well timed
As if that locking of our eye's were just
eternally rhymed

I remember shudders through
your flesh and even soft cries
Can the fading of memories hold off
till one dies?

Those nights and stars those sounds I'm begging
bring them all back
Before memory and life and time
fade them to only black

What a beautiful way to express fading memories. I love your word choices and the way the poem flows. I really enjoyed this.
