Times Change With Or Without Our Help
Go With The Flow
It is amazing to think after all these years we are the same person
In our minds we feel the same
Still believing we think the way we always have
We see our body changing
When we turn on the t.v. and see all our old programs have also been replaced
With newer and more current sitcoms and shows
At work policies and bosses
Co-workers and our hours are all different
The way we view the news through newspapers and magazines
Have become a thing of the past
Hearing about child stars who now know longer with us
Like Shirley Temple who was a living legend
Brings about an adjustment to my way of thinking
Why do we not notice changes so easily ?
Is it because they happen so gradual that we don't notice ?
Maybe it is that we are all human
Accepting life is shorter than we think
Will only complicate our lives even more
How can the years go by so quickly ?
As I look even closer
I have watched my own family
Grow old and in many cases pass away
Each day the sun comes up
Then at night the sun disappears out of sight
The world is always evolving and growing
We are the future of tomorrow
If we look twenty years ahead in time
So many differences in our own lives will show
Uncertainty of us still being here is a possibility
How true is the saying here today gone tomorrow ?
Let each day be a reflection of who we want to be
Not some time later
But now
So people will know the real you
A person who has such a passion for life
That lives every moment with gusto
Because as I have heard these few words repeated often over and over
To many times to count
This day may very well be your last
