Tired And Still Trying

Updated on May 7, 2015

Nine Past Nine

There is no limit

All day working outside in the yard

Hours pass as fast as a train

Quickly pulling out of the station as fast as it came

So much for bug spray

The bugs are biting and body is feeling deep exhaustion

My mind is reeling in positive emotion

Looking to capture my next thought on paper

I head indoors

I lose myself under the wonderful sensations of water

Splashing against my face and trickling down my shoulders and arms

Once again cleaning my body from head to toe

Looking at the clock

That is constantly changing

Making the best of every situation

Trying to make our yard reflect a place of harmony and peace

Each time I look see something of wonder

A hidden gem in the rough

With endless possibilities

Waiting to burst in the next early light

An explosion of color

That make your eyes pop with delight

Yes, even when we're tired we can keep going and keep finding wonderful things to see and do. Lovely poem!
