Tired Oh So Tired

Updated on January 23, 2015

I Can't Even Stay Awake

There is so much to do

When will it ever get done

The truth is never

There is always something to do

So if we just do the best we can

The other things will just have to wait

I am off to get some needed rest

My eyes close long before my head hits the pillow

Off to dreamland where I am relaxed and free

All my troubles and errands left behind

No one can text or call me here

So quiet and peaceful

A rest so long over do

Where my eye lids flutter

My heart doesn't miss a beat

Each breath I take

I go deeper into a place that is so familiar

So rich like the darkest soil I have ever seen

There is no light but I don't feel in the dark

I am fast asleep

But some how conscious

So peaceful

So powerful

I am not hungry or angry

The longer I sleep the better I feel

I am dreaming many dreams

When I awake I will not remember

I am enjoying now my soft. soft pillow

My comfortable fresh clean sheets

I turned over not to go back to the sleep that I enjoyed so much

But to awake with new inspiration

New life and vitality

A kindred spirit

That is strong and silent at the same time

Like the muscles in your arm

When needed they perform to the best of their ability

Until then they are just hanging around

They do say hey look at me

I am your muscle

So as I open my eyes

The same day just five hours later

I feel good

Refreshed and rejuvenated

Reborn

With my mind clear and open

So many good thoughts racing in

I love life

There is so much to be thankful for

I don't know where to begin

So I guess I know their is only one thing to do

Say out loud and silently

One great thank you to all there is and all that will ever be

I am so happy

Off to each direction that can only bring me one place at a time

I just will have to tell someone sometime

Of all the fun that has just begun

I am off and I can only say

May you have

A bigger and better day that keeps you wanting more

Gypsy Rose Lee I have to know when to call it quits. I keep going riding on fumes. So interesting to see how you deal with work and sleep in your own life. Thanks so much. Koffee Klatch Gals sleep is something so hidden but so powerful and I dream about it often. Thanks for reading my hubs. We are expecting a blizzard to hit tonight and tomorrow. They say two feet plus.

Guess that is why there are days when I don't feel too good. Not enough sleep. My problem is that inspiration hits me late at night and I spend long hours at the laptop. By the time I get to bed I am so wound up I can't relax. I do try balance it out with afternoon naps but there are lots of other things to be done. The one good thing is that when I finally get to sleep often I wake up with a poem on my mind and I'm ready to go again.

Interesting observation of sleep as well as an intuitive awareness it's benefits. How great a gift of good sleep is ! Living in peace which passes all understanding, we can throw ourselves into the arms of the designer that needed unknown called 'sleep' being assured of needed rest.
