To A Dear Mom
I love you for your tender touch,
your sweet and gentle ways,
for sunny smiles and happy songs
that filled my childhood days.
I love you for your helpful hand
outstretched to comfort me,
a hug and kiss to make things well
for me there'd always be.
I love you, too, for being strong
when trouble come our way,
for sharing joys and tears and hope
for brighter, carefree days.
I love you most for giving me
the love to give to others,
to try to be a Mom like you,
the dearest of all Mothers.

This beautiful poem was written by my mother for my grandmother for Mother's Day. I've always loved it and have been blessed to have these women in my life and family.
