To Be A Mother

Updated on October 10, 2011

To be a Mother

To hear the cry

of a baby just born,

To love a child so perfect in every way.

To care for those golden eyes of innocents.

To love unconditionally

What is it like?

To hold a miracle.

To carry a life

To be so important.

To have a reason for life.

I want to know.

To see such beauty.

To know you can call them your own.

To be a Mother.

What is it like?

I may never know.

Your words touched me, I cannot have biological children. Know that there are many children out there who are also wanting to know the love of a mother. Anyone can know the joys of loving and caring for thier own child, through adoption. I know that adoption is not right for everyone, but it is wonderful for many. Never say never.

Silent Sinner, What a beautiful but sad poem. As a child and again as a young woman, the one most important goal in my life was to be a mother someday. I earnestly hoped and prayed to God about it. I asked Him to let me experience being a mother before I die or before He comes again to end this present age. He did answer "Yes" to my prayers and I am so thank full. Children are truly a gift from His hand. I don't know what your situation is or the reason you are so longingly wanting a child, but I can say this; "God does answer prayer". He doesn't always answer "yes", but He does always answer and blesses us according to His will and purpose for our lives. If He doesn't give you a biological child maybe He will lead you to the adoption process and bless you with a child who desperately needs a family. No matter what, you will be in my prayers. Be Blessed. Kristeen

Uriel thank you . I try to keep in mind a life within its self is important but to know I may never truly experience the love a child is a shame .

You are always so caring. Again, thank you .

      Dear Silent Sinner,

I myself won't know either, but they say its a miracle and others say its a test of faith. Whatever it is we must learn to cherish the moment and live it to the extreme. If you can't celebrate that moment with your own kids, you can always share that big heart of yours with the ones you care about. I might be 19 and not thinking of kids, yet i know some are a blessing, others are one heck of a test!

I really loved that poem of yours. It is intriguing in its own way. magical yet so memorable!

Great Hub, Keep on writing no matter what,
