All my life

I've been becoming what I am,

hoping all along

someone would love what I became.

Now that I am what I've become,

I've fallen in love with someone

who loves me

for what I'll be tomorrow.

The simplicity of this poem packs a powerful punch. I had to read this one a few times because i liked it so much.

SkySlave: Welcome to my hubs. Thanks so much for your comments. Poetry is not everyone's cup of tea or the poetry of one writer. So glad this one spoke to you. Hope you find others you like also.

I hope they love you for what you are today, too - right now, without any changes. They'll come as you share them together. Lovely poem.
