To Honor The Man With A Dream

When two persons

With different skin tones

Could not

Share the same seat on the bus,

Nor could they share the same

Toilet, water fountain, or chair

One man had a dream

To change it all-

He was a

Righteous Cause with

Truth and an

Notion; that

Light filled with

Understanding for

Hearts of

Equality among the

Keeping the

Innocent minds

Nurtured with the

Groundwork for success.

Join the USA in

Remembering this man.

Gone Too Soon,

Someone thought

That by shooting

This inspirational man

Would kill

His dream,

But it just made

His believers

Make this

Good work, Christina! Some people always seem to fear what they don't understand, then they want to eradicate the "problem."

I believe Dr. King's dream is coming true. I was so happy yesterday while watching the inauguration, all races were coming together, arms around each other, it was wonderful, so is your poetry. beautiful! Thank you..

This was a very beautiful poem, Dr. Martin Luther King Junior stood for equality for all mankind for sure, he believed in this country, and his spiritual essence of truth of brotherhood, of universal compassion still is alive, well and breathing indeed.

I am the same as him today, I been trying to unite people together of all nations, as well as doing it socially, and so lets hope many more people today can follow in his lead. Bravo on writing and sharing this awesome poem and I enjoyed the song too, thank you.

Thumbs up and sharing for sure, and on our poetry community FB page, cloud sharing tools and network for poets.
