To Love and Jealousy
These light-hearted and sometimes serious conversations
Over the phone and yet I experience strange sensations
And later analyzing the words for my interpretation
While keeping awake thrilled by the sweet anticipation.
Your presence is soothing in this world harsh and strange
How our worlds met, intersect followed by a pleasant change
Yet I feel the pangs of jealousy and lover’s ache so strange
I think love has turned me crazy, only if I could change!
Is it true that with deep love it all comes naturally
Rifts and fears due to this green-eyed monster called jealousy?
Is this why a one time lover turns into an enemy
And then we sulk and wonder why he is not in my destiny?
“Jealousy is a disease, love is a healthy condition. The immature mind often mistakes one for the other, or assumes that the greater the love, the greater the jealousy - in fact, they are almost incompatible; one emotion hardly leaves room for the other.”— Robert A. Heinlein
